Why this exists
Product size labels such as medium or large are not consistent between brands. Cars also have curved hatches, wheel arches, trim, and narrow openings that cargo-volume figures do not reveal. The tool brings the important measurements into one check.
What it is—and is not
It is a conservative rectangular geometry estimate. It is not a crash-test rating, restraint recommendation, veterinary opinion, or guarantee that a physical crate will fit. Always confirm current manufacturer specifications and measure the real dog, crate, and vehicle before purchase.
Current stage
This version has been founder-tested with a documented set of crate dimensions and automated calculation checks. It has not yet completed independent usability testing with a representative group of dog owners.
